Efficient Use of Resources and Environmental Impact Reduction
Using sustainable technology
① CLEAN VINTAGE
“Saving water, saving the Earth―” In our textile-related business, we engage in OEM operations and also handle denim products. The vintage denim processing, which creates a vintage feel, typically requires a large amount of water, contributing to provoking water pollution due to the discharge of various chemicals and dyes. Through this specialized processing technique, water usage can be reduced by approximately 90%.

- Avoiding usage of chemical bleach for the textile and the product, and using a special technique to reduce environmental impact
- Resistance to color fading and discoloration
② Product Planning Using Kornit Digital
“Kornit Digital” is a technology developed by Kornit Digital Ltd. that allows printing on clothing without using water. In the vibrant prints characteristic of “LEONARD,” we are working on product planning using this “Kornit Digital” technology.

We will continue to actively incorporate sustainable technologies in the future.
Cotton Policy Establishment
At our group company, DAKS Simpson Limited, we have established a “Cotton Policy” and are striving to procure sustainable cotton.
Environmentally Friendly Shopping Bags
At our brands “DAKS” and “LEONARD,” which are owned by our company, we use shopping bags made from FSC-certified paper when providing customers with their purchased items. FSC certification ensures that the paper used in the bags comes from responsibly managed forests, promoting sustainability in our packaging materials.

Promoting Upcycling at “LEONARD”, one of our owned brands, we regularly sell upcycled products made from archive fabrics, utilizing signature LEONARD prints. These products are available at department store in-shop locations, our e-commerce website, and company-owned stores. The release timing varies depending on the season and the specific store.

Through our upcycling initiatives, we aim to breathe new life into recycled materials, offering luxurious attire that adds color to everyday life.
Initiatives at Sunrise Buildings
At our owned properties, “Tokyo Sunrise Building” and “Osaka Sunrise Building,” we are implementing measures to increase the recycling rate of waste materials.
- Request each tenant to strictly adhere to waste separation.
- Verification of waste separation by cleaning staff.
- If waste separation is inadequate, awareness activities will conduct.
