In celebration of its 130th anniversary, the British Royal Warrant-holding brand “DAKS” will open its domestic flagship store, “DAKS Aoyama,” at Vulcanize London Aoyama on Tokyo’s Kotto Street in Minami-Aoyama on November 15, 2024.

On November 15, 2024, the British brand specialty store “Vulcanize London” will introduce two new zones on its first floor: the “London Arcade,” a shopping area featuring carefully curated brands, and the “London Square,” a space designed for mingling and cultural exchange. As DAKS celebrates its 130th anniversary and unveils an innovative new collection, it joins the store as a partner brand, showcasing primarily the “DAKS London” collection to embody the essence of a “real London” experience in Tokyo.

The new DAKS shop creates a unique and welcoming atmosphere, combining the warmth of wood with the strength of steel and natural stone. The shop’s façade features the brand’s iconic house check pattern and modern travertine design on a convex wall for a dynamic 3D effect. The wooden wall color incorporates “vicuna,” one of the house check pattern’s signature colors.
Additionally, at the back of the shop, visitors can find a gallery corner featuring illustrations by Max Hoff, a renowned fashion illustrator who created advertising illustrations for DAKS in the 1930s. His vibrant and detailed artwork precisely captures the elegance and innovation of the DAKS brand. Discover the latest DAKS styles and trends while exploring this space that blends tradition with modernity.
The store will feature a lineup of new men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, and exclusive shop items. Highlights include dresses and jackets made with the special “Geo Check,” a commemorative pattern introduced for DAKS’ 130th anniversary. The collection offers a rich variety of traditional classic styles infused with British modernity, showcasing the latest from the London Collection.
